Lee_H 64
count me in for france next month. i think it will be good to have a few local lads with us this time so we can completely ignore the f**k out of there opinions like we did with tony. bring it on! 1 Quote Link to post
Lee_H 64
DNn are we going to have a days rest between the hunts to rest the dogs or should we take a few more dogs to keep back for the second day? Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
Yeah ok lets have a days rest in between hunt days, so the dogs can recover. It would mean 4 nights at the Villa... I better save up some extra beer money! Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
For €20 per night, the villa had everything you would want, and they were ok with the dogs...plus wild camping is outlawed in Aragon! there is a campsite but its not much cheaper, ive stayed a night there. Originally I wanted to set up a wild camp, but was not possible. Quote Link to post
mushroom 13,577
Wild camping is illegal across Spain That villa is easily worth the money, has everything needed and some. Just to point out here in Barca in Oct it is feckin warm, so I'd hazard a guess we'll be sweating like Jimmy in a playground during the day in them hills Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Might also be a plan to arrange evening food with the local bar we went to? If they had a meal on the table for everyone at the same time every night it would save a lot of messing about? Probably work out cheap enough and no one would have to deal with a hungry Owain! 1 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
The Vila was top notch. It had big gates we could lock, a garden for dogs to mess about in, a balcony, a decent kitchen, good lounge and comfy beds. One thing - if it's hot as hell in October is the scent going to be shite in those dusty hills? Quote Link to post
mushroom 13,577
I would definitely think so mate reckon air scent will be reasonable with the air currents but ground scent has to be Shiite in these conditions https://weatherspark.com/averages/32061/10/Zaragoza-Aragon-Aragon-Spain Edited January 27, 2015 by mushroom Quote Link to post

One thing - if it's hot as hell in October is the scent going to be shite in those dusty hills? Is the scent ever good in them hills? It was hot and dry in January lol... (I was there in July and had a nice fox hunt) If we go later in season we will all need to renew our insurance and licenses. Also got a trip planned for eastern Europe later that season, terrierwork and boar hunt. 1 Quote Link to post
