Truther 1,579
Fellas you can all assume you would do this and do that but until your in that position you don't know how you would react ... Some people would attack without thinking ... Others would go into protect mode and just want the fella out of the room and be 100% with his daughter ... Others would scream and shout and not do much else ... There are those that would freeze and go into a state of shock and be good for fukc all ... Unless you have been in a scenario that pushes your adrenaline through the roof with pure rage fear or the will to survive or protect others you don't really know how you would react ........... Just for the record, im not guessing Socks but that is true.
dare 1,103
I agree and were not all built the same but if i had a mate tell me he caught someone abusing his kids and all he done was shout id punch him. We wouldn't fall out to the point where we wouldn't talk but id hit em. I don't expect everyone to be hard cases but IMO this aint about being hard. Abusing your kid and you shout? Lol wouldn't shout about only doing that your a right Ian Beale type in my books.
RossM 8,121
I've learned that no matter how big someone is or how hard they meant to be, a digit to the eyeball is suffice to put the ball in your court, having a daughter myself now I would make sure I'd have his eyeball out to start with and then I'd put another type of ball in their f***ing place...... walshie 2,804
I reckon all these responses of what you would do in a given situation are ideal for a Bruce Willis film. But I also know that situations happen quickly and when faced with something as awful as that it would be instinct alone that would take over. Everyone's instinct is different. it's inside us. I dare say you would look at the aftermath and wonder how it all happened. Parental instinct is far more powerful than thought for what you should do or the consequences. You just do it. You'd likely poop yourself like you did the moped incident......
gnasher16 30,221
Usually the people ranting and raving saying they would cut someone to bits and shoot/stab them etc are the normal everyday people with emotions of blind panic induced vengeance.......its perfectly normal......anyone can plant a claw hammer in the back of someones head in a mad moment of rage id expect most people to do that if their kid had been damaged in such a way. The person a step ahead of the normal everyday person wont lose his temper he,ll be far more calculated about his actions and more likely to drag him off and give him a weekend of agonising pain before planting the claw hammer ! What was his name the black dude in Pulp Fiction who took it up the arris and then said we,re going to work on him with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch he had the right idea
