Dropped my old Russell dog in a big place two weeks ago worked it many times before and dug it last yr at 0.8 this time box said 3 meter first Meyer no probs then hit solid stuff bar wouldn't even go

I like the ones that look really bad and when you drop a dog in they're only 2 foot!

There a lot of lads over face a young dog and judge it before its really mature and still learning its way ,if you are working terriers you know the small satellite earths round your permission and we

I know a place an old tip filled with hardcore. I have dug it a dozen times at different depths usually it turns into a hard dig. I've dug it at 2.1 with great difficulty but it has been 1.2 1.8 and sometimes less at times. Ran it one morning expecting an all day job 0.4 under the spoil. Never thought it could go so handy, not a place id run a pup, knowing my luck the pup would end up at the deep side. When running a young dog on I try and keep it not too complicated so the pup can get a few hunts over them. The day will come that the pup enters a place you think is not overly difficult and it turns out a whole handling session. That's the time you know whether it has the makings of a good dog or not.

I totally agree with you,i always try to keep a youngster winning every time its to ground in its 1st season, helps them build confidence,in saying that sometimes it dont stick to the script and what you reckon is easy turns out to be a grueller but the terrier dont know what dept it is so its up to the owner to get down to it and get it out.

1 word answer no. I'll stick to ferreting, If I had a 8 footer I'd ring fell and moorland f**k digging that depth any more than 3 foot is a rescue

Dug 8 foot numerous times to my Jill and hob, post holed it but it was 8 foot none the less. Shame fell and moorland don't do a ferret rescue service too..

See if I dug down 8 foot once to a ferrett,he'd need to be stuck between two rabbit's if he wasn't he's dog food
