Lurcher Needs To Put On Weight

Recommended Posts

a mate has a six year old dog lurcher, its been fed on dry most of its life untill recently were its been getting a cup of wag and 1 lb of raw beef, i think before it was getting a cup of wag, going on the guidelines on back of pack.

its still looking abit bony/under weight, looking for some advice on best way to fatten it up abit.

i did recommend upping the amount of wag and raw beef, just wondering if anyone else has any other tips?

Drop the wagg, honestly mate its shite. Up meat and either get a decent biscuit or use brown bread, atb

ive seen a few people say that, i feed mine different from my mate. am still new to owning/working lurchers were hes been doing it for years, dont really want to turn around and tell him whats best for his dug.

is there an ideal weight for a lurcher at 24tts, i know it would depend on the x, its not heavy built,

All dogs are different, some dogs (salukis) can look to SOME that there half starved and (bull) looking to heavy.

It's just a case of knowing what's best for your dog.

Some dogs when working hard don't need bigger portions, some do, and some just more fat added
