Had a decent days fishing yesterday, nowt really big,the heaviest was 17.8kg the lightest around 8kg but plenty of fish, some guy gave me details of a commercial fishery that was a tenner or the equivalent to fish thats rod-hire,bait additives the lot,I was first there as soon as it opened, fish showing everywhere on the surface,in some places the surface activity made the water boil.I had a couple out when some russian women turned up with rods and and equipment, they were in their late 20's around half a dozen of them then all stripped off into their bikinis and began baiting up???Most of them were the typical blond svetlana types milk white skin and generic but one was stunning, long jet-black hair incredible high cheekbones that denoted a tzarist sort of pedigree mahogany tan and a skimpy dental-floss bikini :icon_eek: I thought I was on the set of "Real housewives of Moscow"

Bigest fish in the water is over 50 kilos as I met the lad from Brum who caught it,few guys from London turned up and a thai woman who was fishing with the best of them, decent days fishing,I will bang some pics up when I am back in Bangkok tomorrow (my laptop is there).

Just had a really enjoyable session, plenty of fish caught up to around 70 lb but had a couple of good lads fishing nearby, one of them had what looked like a kids rod, seriously it had been snapped and bound together with tape at some point in its life, the sort of tackle that costs you a fiver at a car-boot sale for the kids to catch dace with, this guy caught fish after fish with it till he got one that was around 50 lb and it took him a while to subdue it,so he changed to a rod that looked like a snooker-cue with homemade eyes bound to it with tape,it had very little action and was probably 10 lb test-curve,his first cast with the brute produced a fish of around 60?lb which didnt have a chance,he heaved into it and it was in the net in minutes :icon_eek: Met a thai guy who showed me pics of a giant stingray he measured at 2.4 meters across the back,he caught it in what looks like a small stream, some tiny tributary,I got his number as he also has some stonking barramundi pics from a water that produced a fish a cast  I will stick a few pics up when I have time, wait till you see the bend on the boot-sale rod

looks a flippin good crack that

Its the only lake I have ever fished thats got a massage-parlour on site :icon_eek: its got a couple of tackle shops, wifi, even a kids games room also  One english guy who guides there offers 50% of your money back if you dont catch a 30lb fish,I dont think he has ever had to refund,I have been there when its a bite a cast and the sessions were frenetic, great lake,John Wilson is now retired to thailand and is trying to build up a reputation with his lake but he is overpricing it and aiming at well-heeled anglers, the place I fish has bigger species siamese catfish go over 100kg in this particular water, the guy with the home-made rods in one of the above pics has had carp to 62 kg from there.
