midnight 657
Hi everyone , I'm hoping you might find time to just put a simple post up as a sort of survey to see what my knives and edged tools have been used for . I know that's asking for trouble , but some customers have done some incredsbly interesting stuff . For example one guy took very basic kit and just disappeared into the wilds of Canada for 3 weeks and his only small knife was a fieldcrafter . I know at least one more has stuck wild boar in Europe .. So I thought it might be interesting to find out more . This is not sales hype as I'm slowly phasing out the type of knives Iv been making and moving in to other style that i stand more chance of making a living from. Anyway I estimate in the last 5 years Iv made approximately 1,000 blades from blanks to finished blades so there should be plenty of replies . All the Brest , Matt Quote Link to post
leegreen 2,153
Can't go wrong with a decent slim chopper machete style business. Something you can chop, dig, pry a bit, maybe a bit pointy for making holes and the like. Could be used to make a splint, tough enough to make a spear with. Flat'ish grind, forged from 5-6mm down to 3-2mm and about 15"-18" long? What do ya recon, any good? Quote Link to post
