Outstanding work John, credit to you ;)

John out of interest, what sort of power and accuracy did these vintage air guns achieve ?

Hi Mark

Thanks :)

When I first put it back together, the first shot through the chrono worked out at 21ft lbs :icon_eek::icon_eek:

I stripped it straight away and found oil/grease in the nick of the piston seal which had detonated and would have carried on doing so until it had all been spent!

I cleaned it and rebuilt it and after that it was shooting at aroun11.4ft lbs, this is with next to no preload on the mainspring, There's hardly any recoil and accuracy isn't bad but then i'm not the best shot in the world!! :icon_redface:

The first card was as the scope was set back on the gun, The second card was after zeroing in (There was a couple of cards in between that showed the poi moving to the centre!!)

The gun should become more accurate with more fine Zeroing
