chris87 297
Was out this morning doing bit of ferreting and the ferret was bolloxing about so i was sitting around waiting when i look up to see my 9mnts lurcher coursing this big feral cat and im thinking holy f**k shes very close to getting it when all of a sudden the cat slips down a rabbit burrow and gone. Couldnt believe my eyes , now i was delighted it made it escape because the pup just had it and she hasent seen any teeth (or claws) yet and i dont want her to till next season. So i was just wondering anyone seen cats using rabbit burrows?

chris87 297
She is indeed , il be lucky to get to next season without her catching something that will hurt her..... Ya tought the cat was very odd , got me thinking then what if i dropped ferret nd cat was allready down there it would have been bye bye ferret
General lee 979
Cat was thinking on its feet
chris87 297
Damm right it was lol. It got in there so quick and down the hole like a shot it looked like it had been down there before so i dont think it was spur of the moment all the same , the bitch had her head in the hole right after the cat so the cat seemed to know where it was going. TOPPER 1,809
dug to a litter of kittens about 10 year ago bitch seemed want to mother them she would have screwed the cat if that had been there
chris87 297
I suppose it would be better shelter and warmth than anywhere else for them. Im thinking now this cat lived down there or has litter ect because she deffinatly knew where she was going. Thinking of it now she even passed of a small tree to get to the hole
gnipper 6,408
My mates ferret killed a half grown one to ground a few years back now. The ferals around that area use the rabbit holes regularly to have their young.

neil82 1,066
grand father allways said that when you prep a rabbit and a cat you struggle to tell the difference, just depends on how you cook it
