Mochastorm 68 Posted January 17, 2015 Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 The preferred whistle for spaniels is the 210.5, but as has been said whatever they respond to. In my own opinion I would steer clear of the silent type. There are two reasons the first is that they are adjustable and you have to have it screwed exactly in the same position. The main reason I don't like them is that you spend the shooting day with a whistle clamped between your teeth. A plastic one is bad enough, but a metal one is heavy and potentially chip your teeth which would ruin my Hollywood smile. Quote Link to post
