How Much Are These Worth?

Recommended Posts

I just spoke to my bother who deals in welsh slates. He told me they are an odd size 10x20 and 12x24 being the norm. Unless some one is doing a porch there are not enough slates of the odd size to do anything with.

Different areas tend to use different sized slates. 16 x 10 are common in yorkshire/ Derbyshire. If they are Welsh and not Spanish and have not been painted with tar and are in decent Nick a reclamation yard will probably give you around £400 per 1000. Doubt they would pick 300 up though as there is only enough to do about 10m2.

If they're natural welsh slate up to a quid, advertise on eBay or ring a few of the local roofing company's.

Even if you get 50p a slate it's a nice touch.

whats thy know?i thought your thing wo tin :D

There ain't much I'm not into lol..

Good mate of mine is a slater, I put all my slating work his way, there's a marked difference in price between welsh and Spanish or Brazilian.. But the Daddy is still Delaboe lol.
