gnipper 6,475
My father in law has just got some rescue lovebirds which are in small cages at the moment and he's wanting to put them together in a bigger cage. Anyone else keep these and is it a good/bad idea to mix them up? There's 2 pairs in their own cages and 1 on its own. Cheers

DIDO.1 22,838
Dont put two pairs together or they will fight...but you can keep 3 or more pairs together. Place plenty of nest boxes up high, at roof height, all the same size to reduce fighting over boxes

Me to mate ,I don't know much about them where talking twenty year ago we had them , like dido said probably worked because we had about twenty or so together . I'm not saying that's how it should be done but that's how we had them
mule1943 291
we had the peach faced love birds ,they were easy to breed but just kept the one pair in a large flight , with good results
brookie 1,193
my mother kept them for years very hardy little birds and easy breeders .but they will chew your flight to bits if the wood isnt protected .she kept a few different varieties and budgies all together with no problems at all .
