Rabbit or Hare

I'm going back over to the "Fenn hares" thread, even though the guys on that thread don't agree, at least they have done it !! This thread is ridiculous !! Anyone who compares a hare with a rabbit, lamped or otherwise, simply hasn't seen either !!! Definately never worked them !!!!!

Its not bullshit I go lamping quite a bit with a keeper mate of mine on a bit which is untouched by dog folk, its a one way in one way out estate and its lifting with hares, they come right up to you within a few feet when you squeak them in and they lollop about like big daft domesticated rabbits, run a dog on hares like this and they dont have a clue whats going on. I will take the camcorder the next time Im out and we will call some in and film them, Ill post it on here and show you, unlike a lot of people on these forums I dont talk bullshit and can prove and back up everything I say What gems of wisdom and experience have you got to offer other than a one word post?

 

 

Agree 100% SJM, we get plenty come in on a night out sqeaking, but we tend to leave them as it is not old big ears that we are after

You do talk bullshit SJM, ive been reading on these forums for years and there as been people who DO put pics, stories, breeding, films on the forums and you still dont believe them and doubt what they write even when its there in black and white. Unbelievable

Hares? Rabbits? Never mind them, the hardest thing to catch on the lamp is those wee bouncy kanagroo mouse thingies that you see on the really wet nights I have no ides what they are called but manys a night in the past I have landed royally on my rear trying to catch those wee feckers The dogs never seem to be able to see them and they are almost impossible to catch lol

Skinner you have never posted one single video of your dogs working, I did slag your pics because they were from the 80s and youve never posted any since. If you post some pics and videos of what your dogs doing NOW then I will happily eat humble pie Theres a saying beleive half of what you see and none of what you hear, but you Hunters Untied lot want everyone to go and beleive everything without questioning. Bit unrealistic to expect people to do that when theres been so many bullshitters over the years, look at Plummer with his stories pinched off other people, his posed pics with slip on shoes and defrosted foxes, come on you cant blame people for being skeptical can you?

this is as i also thought i admit i havnt lamped many hares, i have to walk around for hours to get a run on a rabbit lol never mind hare, but i have heard some fellas say lamped hare are easy and i just wanted to back up my own thoughts with more experianced views.

All i can say is what my dogs and i do/have done. We catch lamped rabbits easily enough, cannot catch lamped hares, so for us the hare is harder.
