It seems you're the only Plummer expert!!!! I'm no Patt man but I do have a Patt, I like any working terrier....just don't get the Plummer hype, seems a waste of time to me!! Each to their own, just my opinion

Well at you least you accept that in any court in the land I would be classed as an expert, I've kept and bred them for 36yrs so that fulfils all the criteria needed to do so, BUT (and here is where all the brains trust fall down) I have worked 100% every other terrier type and actually choose to keep my type of "Plummer", I am not breed blind and understand that good terriers come in all types and colour's but there are as many poor terriers out there of "all" types, its easy to throw one liners about but why bother putting a post up if you're intention is not to try and get a rise from the lads that keep them, my Pummers will work everything your patt will ,mine are not just rat and rabbit dogs as I control "ALL" the vermin on 2 large estates that shoot, thats 7 days a week not just "weekends",I also do not hype up these little dogs,I leave that to the 3 clubs of which I am not a member,I am an independent breeder of working Plummers, WM

What Plummer hype we talking about here bud, seems people like yourself create all the hype by having little digs whenever there's a mention of a Plummer terrier on any thread,we all choose to work the dogs we desire. What experiences do you have of working with the Plummer terrier as most people who work Plummers have experience in the field with other breeds of terriers,Just a genuine question, atb keith j.

It doesn't matter what experience I have with plummers as I wouldn't entertain one as I want a digging dog! Not a dog that bashes rats/bushes and MIGHT go to ground....I'd get any old Russel if I wanted a dog like that for pennies...

Just as i thought no experience, another one with a big ego and the best dogs, but hey who am i to judge you as you shouldn't judge dogs you haven't seen work. But all the same good luck with you dogs what ever there breeding, atb keith

When have I said I have the best dogs ?? Sound like a pair of bitches all this moaning....

If yours are all rounders then good for you, I just don't get why people are paying over the odds for a terrier that's just pretty. You know yourself most plummers aren't bred to be earth dogs.....like I said before just my opinion which I'm entitled to and will voice whenever the f**k I want to ?

Or I could be one of the minority on here that gets out with his and his mates dogs a fair bit instead of dreaming they were!! Can't see me ever having a Plummer either, I had a Russel x that would bush all day and kill rats.....and she'd go to ground!

The few times I've been on ratting expeditions where plummets have been present they were more interested in fighting any dog that got near then than killing rats.

Are these plummets related to the Plummer mate LOl .see were this thread is going now ?
