keith j 1,088
Plumber terrier dog pup will pay up to £300 I don't see the problem in paying £300 for a pup if its from the right lines,i myself paid £400 for a bitch, that same bitch is priceless now.but take you time and do your home work as there is a lot of shite in this breed as there is in all breeds. But if its a Plummer you want go for for it ,choose well from working stock as there is a lot of lads out there still work these little dogs and good luck in your search atb keith j. 2 Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
Best getting some one who is genuine breeding off some good working dogs an even if they charge you a little bit (which I don't agree with) but least they breeding for work... Any one who charging that money would you really trust them not to breed shit just for the cash? If you say yes then your a gullible idiot f***ing sausage mate all anal about this shit look Mate it's a f***ing dog to pal up with my little boarder I aint some full on working dog handler who eats shits and breaths them if I find a nice dog right price I'll have him just cus a pure line don't mean shit that is better than any other dog my little boarder cross was a pure accident and he shows plenty of potential cost me £150 I'd say ur a gullible idiot if your paying mad money for a dog may aswell take it to crufts next month and you show a dog the work if it's got the instinct it will go to ground simple as fucks me off can't even post on no forum asking if there's any dog about or guns or permission without some big head top man trying to make you look like some little dickhead A decent Plummer will probably cost you £300 or more and will suit your purpose, forget about all the "best dogs are gifted" bollocks, thats the domain of the lads in the know or the clique, everybody else as to dip into their finances to source the mutt they desire,be a little more savvy and not as naive, good luck. 4 Quote Link to post

Cleanspade 3,322
well ive had three plummers and one cross plummer and never paid anywhere near that. they can be got for a working mans price . if they are going to a working enviroment. not every plummer owner is in it for the coins. some just like to work them.(and there in lies the problem) folk working there dogs regular' breed rarely. so the better tested stock is also rare. i would bide my time and work the crossbred for a season or two' look about. then get a plummer and run it alongside a more experienced terrier. keith j 1,088
The first Plummer terrier i bought in 2004 i paid £100 For, the second in 2010 £400.Sometimes if you want something you've just got to put your hand in your pocket. To many people wanting everything for nothing .Ive just recently bred a litter of pups as i wanted a pup for myself.this litter including stud fees 'diesel 'as i travelled across the country to line my bitch, vet bills for docking, dew clawing ect worming and feeding till there eight to ten weeks old and inoculations stood me around £500.I kept my bitch back for myself gifted a pup and sold one for £300.did i sell that pup for to much 'bollocks 'the guy in question got a pup from working stock good mix of blood, and a pup reared to the best it could be, fully wormed fully vaccinated well socialised with dogs and people.did that guy pay to much? 3 Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110
I really don't,t see any issue with paying for the breed you want, so long as its not being sold as something its not,I bred 3 litters last year and made sure most went to good working homes, people I knew or were friends of friends etc never paid much but strangers wanting them paid 325 or there about,I care about the pups I breed and do my utmost to produce something I would want myself, breeding the workers together and getting them out where lads will test them can only be good for the breed,I work my terriers and lurcher 7days a week and we are out most of each day so my dogs have to be fit and healthy,we all keep the dogs we find pleasing to us and its personal choice at the end of the day, I would never try to influence somebody to buy a type they do not want or suit as I am not the one who will be feeding it,I will also never sell a pup to someone who is unsure or is not 100% committed to a Plummer,my pups sell within hours of me advertising and that quality speaks for itself, WM 1 Quote Link to post

billys 15
Surely if your breeding dogs for profit you would be breeding pugs, French bulldogs or jack-a-frign-wowas not a little known terrier and only getting £300 a pup. ATB Billy 3 Quote Link to post
