matt101 115
Hello, I'm thinking about going out longnetting tonight. Got a decent place in mind and the wind direction is right for it but it's Blowing a gale around me at the moment. I know it's best to go on a windy night but can it be too windy to go longnetting? Thanks Quote Link to post

Mr Wilkes 2,984
It certainly can bob..apart from the bagging flipping itself over the top running line it will sing like you wont believe.. 3 Quote Link to post

smithie 2,443
lol we been out in worse.. we once had to fight to get a net out in 90 mph gusts (acording to the site in link above) while it rained and then we found cows in the field bad bad night 2 Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
About the only wind that I will make an effort to go out in no matter how strong it is, is a Northerly to do the drops that cannot be done on any other wind. Northerly winds here that blow on into the night are so few and far between, when they do happen you have to use them. TC 2 Quote Link to post
terryd 8,401
I was wondering the same my self will stick me head out the door later and access. I did go once when it was blowing a gale side on to the drop and what a nightmare. Vowed not to attempt it again Quote Link to post

Mr Wilkes 2,984
Well .. We did go out with .410 and lamp and found three pockets of rabbits that on the right wind will be excellent for a drop with the nets. Smithie also showed me why he is Johnny Vegas' stunt double... 9/10 for the face plant Smithers.lol 1 Quote Link to post
