Not really, satire is a strong part of French culture, it is a way of mocking the establishment and other groups who have power and influence.

No incomer has a right to end this tradition.

It is a fundamental right of freedom of speech and if it falls outside the law then they will be prosecuted.

 

If Charlie Hebdo happened to be run by Front National or any other right wing group of people...... instead of a group of liberal lefties and feminists do you think it would of been left to run unchallenged on a national scale ?..........straightforward question.

Impossible for me to know really as I don't have enough knowledge of the French system.

My gut feeling is yes it would be, if it ran with the same fairly broad spectrum of critique.

From what I can tell, the French have a broader excepted scope of political beliefs, from the socialist government in office to the Front National, which could even possibly take power one day. Imagine the BNP doing the same ?

No, they would have been hounded, abused and driven to closure, if they had been in the UK. I believe that the vast silent majority in this country are basically conservatives with a small "c". I would rather stick pins in my eyes than vote Tory, but my core beliefs are right wing; family, country, a strong military, a work ethic, etc; but the establishment and media, although in the minority, are left wing, and I count the Tories in that as well, and control our laws, press, television, etc, and their point of view is put forward as "mainstream", even though if it were put to a referendum, we, the people would win ! Just look at Europe, the vast majority of us want out, or at least a better deal, but the establishment want us to stay in, and have even closer union. Take hanging, the majority of us want it brought back, the left will never allow it. Immigration: we, the people want it controlled, but the left want it in ever increasing levels. I could go on, but you get the point. As long as people vote LibLabCon, nothing will change, they will do what THEY want, not what WE want !

I find it interesting to watch the reaction from "moderate muslims" on the likes of twitter and social media.

They are offended, we are "islamophobic" and racist.

 

I should imagine that the folks murdered yesterday and today are fairly f***ing offended.

All this racist bolloxs is just that: bollox. There are people from every race in the world which are muslim. So how can it be a racist issue? Its not.

 

If thier religion is that fragile that they become offended over a cartoon, then i would suggest that Europe is not the place for them.

They have been singing the same BS song to us for so long I really do think they believe it! Along comes a politically savvy chap like Farage who speaks the inconvenient truth and they're all so confused that their world view they thought was so enlightening and modern has been proven bullocks they do what most people do when confronted with such a huge paradigm change, attack!

Personally I think our own people are worse, I actually despise the do gooders and traitors in our midst more than the actual people it revolves around, depending on who we are talking about.

Do I blame an immigrant for trying to survive by abusing our system?, no.

Do I blame muslims for playing the race card and cherry picking the parts of western society they want?, no.

I blame the cancer within, the bstards that are so warped in their ideals and ashamed of everything that us Brits hold dear that they would actively encourage outsiders to abuse us for their own selfish ends.

If and when it all kicks off I would hope the home grown liberal/lefty scum would be treated the same as any other fecker,who has abused our hospitality, or if possible worse even.
