cragman 2,766
My daughter got one for putting one wrong letter in on one of those machines that asks for the first three letters of your reg. she was in her partners car, so easy mistake. I've told her to bin it. It was at Stockport peel centre, who have a notorious record of fining people for minor things! Cnuts

DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
Was it a private car park with an independent company like parking eye that issued the fine? Or was it a council owned car park?

J Darcy 5,871
I never pay them either, not if they're private. They will send threatening letters. Best just ignoring them no matter what. They have got to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was you in the car. They tried to fine me ;last year as I'd left my car at a services and lamped all night. Returned at 5am, and a week later got a 'fine'.....what annoys me is that the DVLA sells your information to these companys, and thats very wrong IMO.

RossM 8,119
If it's a private fine just write null & void on it and send it back.
