trenchfoot 4,243
feed it 3 times a day. give it a bowl full. If it eats it all, add a little extra to the next meal. At that age I would rather a pup had as much as IT wanted, not what I thought it needed. I've a pup here that daily ate twice as much as my adult dogs do. "the first year ye feed them, the second year ye field 'em" or something like that anyway 2 Quote Link to post
white van man 3,379
As said mate get yourself some decent wormers. The ones from off the shelf don't do the job. I had the same problem with my pup. I feed raw so I got a decent wormer and increased the feed, especially the mince meat. Maybe try add a bit of pasta to the mix? Quote Link to post
hare_n_hounds 157
My mate put me onto these. I won them on eBay for 99p from Bulgaria although the prices can vary, think I paid more for the postage, something like 2.99. And they do the job Definitley! I think it's the same ingredients as drontal Quote Link to post

skycat 6,174
Even from photos you can see a real difference. The problem with feeding something like Alpha, along with so many other cheapish complete foods is that they don't contain enough animal protein or animal fat, which is really what a pup needs. A dog needs to eat at least twice as much crap food which is mostly cereals to get a similar level of nutrition, and even then it isn't the right kind of grub for a dog. Well done on changing her diet 1 Quote Link to post
