The one 8,479
Im begining to think my ferreting exploits are like carry on films , we to a coastal farm today and the farmer was on a loader when i drove into the yard so i said i forgot to ask you wheres that black bull when i phoned you last night ?. " Oh hes down there but ive just given him a bale of silage and im going to give them some sugar beet so he wont look at you " So i went down and started at the far end furthest away from this mad barstool and his hareem but i didnt know the farmers been filling in the burrows so i ended up with 5 rabbits by the time i was level with the bull and he starts head butting this bale of silage and shoving it over the field , so feck this a few rabbits arent worth this . i jumped into the car and went to the other side of the farm and planned to do a cottage garden with a few burrows in it first single hole one up next one we got three out things are looking better , next one i lost one that bolted out a pile of leaves and it ran into the next burrow under a hedge . Nets down ferret in fifteen minutes later a 10 foot mark on the locator box in the middle of the hedge spent the rest of the day digging and got the ferret out by torch light and couldnt find the rabbit . So nine for the day 9 Quote Link to post

So sod it im going lamping i take my bottle to be filled " thats two years out of test "" What you filled it two months ago " " it must be thirty years old that cylinder " " well all the older stuff built to last , How much to retest it ?"."Its aluminum after testing it you need to test the neck for stress fractures " how much to retest it ? " Im no doing it but its going to be the best part of £200 "" your having a fecking giraffe . So a mates going to fill it and test it for me hopefully as he works with the gear fingers crossed i will find out at tea time and the rimmys needing sighted so the lampings up the swanny Quote Link to post

Mates got it away to fill it and he reckons his firm should be able to test it as well it's only thirty years old aluminum bottles should be good for fifty years LOL I've bought a lottery ticket for the rollover as a new bottles nearly two hundred quid lol you might never be rich catching a few rabbits but by Christ you get a good laugh Quote Link to post

The one 8,479
While my son put the ferrets away and fed them i hung up the nets then gutted the rabbits into a black bag and left it on the garage floor while we put the rabbits in the freezer and went in for tea , next morning i left the garage door open to let the breeze blow threw the nets , Later on i remembered about the back of guts and it wasnt there looking at the mutts they all looked guilty , later that night my son let the dogs in the labs sleeping on the floor dreaming away and farting scented candles couldnt cover that smell so she got the three of them booted out 3 Quote Link to post

The one 8,479
That's the thing you know boys who go foxing regular they start off with a good sized hole and put. Step in , ferreters are different and seem to dig small holes that are no use Quote Link to post

Bobo 135
I think you need to get your boxes calibrated, they've gotta be giving you a duff reading. It won't have been 10 foot. Quote Link to post
