RIP.JD 21
I've got a black widow catapult, I assume I just need some hex nuts and I'm away or are there cheap alternatives which would be better than the black widow.. Any help welcome !!
Longers7 720
Should be fine mate, it's more about shot placement than power, personally I wouldn't want a black widow as it's not the easiest of catties to slip in your pocket when out mooching, but if you've got one then why not give it a go, a bag of hexnuts is only £2 so it's not like you'd be losing much by trying. Chuck Rock 18
Theres a lot of talk about feet per second and energy charts and stuff on some websites. If you can hit what you want to hit, and put a decent dent in a bean tin, then you're ready to go and bag some woodies I reckon
youcanthide...BANG 1,051
I'd change the bandset mate, way too heavy for nuts. If I was you I would get a more pocketable catty, they offer more banding options to experiment with. If you want to keep with the widow I would change the bandset. Could even put flat bands on it
j j m 6,539
I used a black widow for years with the bands it come with
RIP.JD 21
Cheers gents, I will get some nuts.. I've read a few posts and a large bag from wilkos seem favourite unless there's a better suggestion out there. Lastly were do I start ugpgrading to a better more pocketable catapult. Are there ready made ones on flea bay, if so could you suggest a good one if possible... Cheers

28xxgeo 28
Not as cheap as 'free' mate or as satisfying as making it yourself

Jake w 232
Have had a lot of pigeons an magpies and pheasants an odd rabbit fall with the black widow and strike 9 when I was younger but I changed to a milbro with the square bands and haven't looked back but the black widow an strike 9 is more than capable in my opinion mate
