Merles win more rosettes....   just a shame theres deerhound in the mix it will make it a slow plodder ....   all the best with it

Deerhound x collie grey bitch. Nearly 4mnths old . Just got her, cracking dog. She even sings frank Sinatra in the garden to my neighbours haha

The deerhound is a useful tool in the day. The collie grey is bang on on the lamp Also. Wouldn't have had 1 if not mate. Cheers

i don't really know mate tbh lol I was dead set on a straight collie grey, nice and simple .. But then I got offered this one and I had a think about it and decided to go with it, why not! And no I definitley didn't want a bull x, not so much the size of them it was more that I just don't seem to get on with them! I love a lurcher to retrieve shot foxes.. aswell as catch rabbits so thought this would be ideal, also I've heard good things of this type of cross so I'll just have to wait and see how she turns out. I'm going to have to dig out a couple of old books now, I always like a book to refer to when training a pup as I'm still learning myself! Haha

Cheers mate. Never really had 'big' Lurcher types, does there diet differ from smaller types? Just wondered due to there structure etc

do not rush a big dog into work they mature later than a cxgh or any other for that matter mine had a rabbit at 8 months then that was it for 2 more months 1 run then started him at nearly 14 months he was stilly pupyish at 3 years
