bird 9,870
sorry to hear that , don't know how old you are , but these things can drag you down long term . I ve had back 40 years, it left me with sciatic and sometimes I can just about walk, now got fooked right knee that came on last year. But you got to try and keep going an stay as active as you can, I ve got 2 dogs , one only 2 year old the other is 7 . many times ive felt like getting rid of them and packing in.But what that going to do? it only keep me in thr house and wont help my back, don't get me wrong I(if) I ever had another dog or dogs they would be smaller than what ive got now, I prob go for a pat x whippet or something like that . I know its hard all this week ive been hobbling along with my back , been laying down for a 1 1/2 hour every night with pain killers and slowly it getting bit eaiser . try and not give in to it if you can mate 1 Quote Link to post

TAXI DRIVER 549
Use a bike to exercise the dogs, that`ll keep them ticking over and just walk when you lamp them.A bike will take a lot of pressure off your hips.Good luck. 1 Quote Link to post

Dewclaw69 484
i feel for you mate. my joints are heading that way. get some good non steroidal anti inflamatory meds from the quack. the only other things that will help are exercise and a good diet. i'm doing better now than i was 10 years back. don't pack in with the dogs , you'll sieze up . atb rob Quote Link to post
