tote 856
Had another hour out with Amy tonight, the wind was having a right blow so couldn't resist a trek out. It's been a while since I saw so many rabbits sat out, a long way from their buries aswell.I tried to pick out the easiest rabbits for the young bitch. In the first field Amy caught 4 from 6 runs and retrieved them reasonably well although she is still stopping short.I gutted the 4 rabbits before I went into the next field which gave Amy a short break. She drew a blank in the next field from 5 runs.So it was back through the first field again and she picked up 2 rabbits from 2 runs. I dropped the rabbits at the car and decided to try one last field.Amy got 2 runs in that field and caught both rabbits.I could have kept going but decided that the young bitch had seen and done enough for one night. tote 856
It was a wet and windy night here so it was on with the waterproofs and the wellies and out with Amy to excersize the local rabbits My eldest son Dylan was keen to go so he tagged along aswell. I went to a different place tonight and was surprised to see so few rabbits about. We covered four fields and were lucky to see half a dozen rabbits.Amy managed to catch 2 from the 4 runs she got, but her retrieving or lack of it is starting to get to me The more I try to encourage her the worse it gets It's a pity as all the other boxes have ticks in Dylan with Amy and the two rabbits. Guest Frank
Your getting out Tote, dont worry about retrieving, prehaps some extra dunny throwing ect, will sort it out? Quote Link to post
tote 856
She brings her dummy back no probs Frank,I've tried giving her more dummy work then less dummy work.It doesn't make any difference she's always fine on the dummy. But it's a different story when she gets a feckin' rabbit in her mouth Quote Link to post

tote 856
Have you tried a fresh rabbit skin dummy? That's working with my little b****d! The dummy has two old rabbit skins wrapped round it skycat,I will try her with a fresh skin today, but like I said she's okay with her dummies. I have even tried her with a whole rabbit but there is no way she will pick up the rabbit and bring it to me,if I change back to the dummy out she goes picks it and brings it back.I'm beginning to think I'm .
