No it isn't the way to go it's just an excuse not to buy the best avaliable. Do it right do it once. If you have a caller that holds 200 calls and you can scroll through them in the field to play some

Sounds good. I think Tremo is spot on. What I would do is get a new SD card, copy across any useful calls from the standard card, then put the standard SD card back in the box.   That way you have t

Between the continual rain I managed to get out for an hour or two late this afternoon. The objective was to simply give it a field test ........... but I took my rifle along, just in case :whistling: . All in all I was quite impressed. The horn gave out a good belt, and at 100 yards away I was able to flick through the calls with no effort at all. I wasn't able on this occasion to test it to advertised 300 yards.

Did it call in a fox I hear you asking?? I'm afraid not. Not that this was any fault of the unit though. I had a bit of a' blonde' moment when I had planned my attack. It was only after about 30 minutes of calling did it occur to me that yes, I had correctly angled the unit towards the dingle that I had under watch, but the wind was blowing so strongly into the horn of the unit that hardly no sound was reaching the desired area. :icon_redface: . This oversight, coupled with the fact that the farmer had caught two on the wires yesterday .......... not a productive day shooting.

My final thoughts on the GC350? It does what it says on the tin, and that's what I need. I don't need bells and whistles (pardon the pun). Yes the GC500 is the next level and probably is a nice-to-have, but would I benefit from it more than my model? The honest answer is no. If I can't entice Charlie in with a variety of 24 calls good calls, then how are another 176 going to help me? It will be time to take up knitting at this point. . Cardigan anyone??

Only my humble opinion of course.

No worries. I'll keep you informed of the effectiveness of the unit.

Foxes aren't my main concern at the moment. CROWS! Loads of them around my permissions, and it is so difficult to get anywhere near them. Needless to say that I don't use an electronic caller on them, but the hand caller and some decoys are going to be deployed next week. . That is a discussion for a different topic though.
