walshie 2,804
I was just making myself a coffee in the kitchen (instant coffee) and I was looking out the window at the birds feeding in the garden. I'm no expert on birds, and there was one out there that I wasn't sure of. I'd say it was probably a female blackbird, but it had a completely red breast just like a robin, but it was blackbird size? I got my phone to take a picture of it to ask you lot, when it and the other sparrows took flight before I could take the pic. I assumed they had seen me, but a fox came charging out of the trees at them. No stealth involved, just running at them flat out from one end of the garden to the other. When he saw he'd missed them, he trotted off round the back of our shed and disappeared. Strange to see that at 10 in the morning. Anyway, what do you reckon the bird was? walshie 2,804
Driving me mad now. I can't find anything on the net that looks similar. It was just the same as a female blackbird (i.e brown) same size, just with red breast feathers.
