roybo 2,873
Also I like the spill it will help me with spotting ,and on a low setting you can use whilst calling stuff just keeping the quarry in the spill 2 Quote Link to post
the big chief 3,099
I like it better than a striker, the light is whiter you can see colour better, also like the strobe ,not sure how useful it will be ,but may be good for keeping stuff off hedge.first impressions I like . you out with it tonight roy Quote Link to post
RossM 8,107
With regards to spill could a "sleeve" be designed to fit over it and make beam tighter as such? 1 Quote Link to post
the big chief 3,099
With regards to spill could a "sleeve" be designed to fit over it and make beam tighter as such? tried it ross as a cone shape it dulls the light and tried a sleeve and it cuts it down a tad but you would need a long sleeve on it so i gave up on tthe idea Quote Link to post

fox digger 1,086
With regards to spill could a "sleeve" be designed to fit over it and make beam tighter as such? I wouldn't want it any tighter tbh, its nice to be able to see the dogs every move in the spill while still having the quarry in the hot spot, nothing worse than a real tight beam and lamping somthing and seeing nothing untill the dog pulls in enough to strike. 3 Quote Link to post

Sometimes at extreme distances, especially on long stubbles or longish grass its great to be able to see the dog outside the hot spot cos the rabbit is not really visible. TC 1 Quote Link to post

I would agree with the above. Brilliant for watching the dogs and quarry's every twist and turn. Seemed to have more than the usual bunnys running right at me with the k50 last night. Might of just been a coincidence, also seemed to keep the bunnys startled for longer in the one place before making it's run for freedom. Quote Link to post

We all know how rabbits will act differently on any given night. I would imagine it will take a while under all different conditions to get a true reading of how rabbits react to the white beam. flipbull 1,139
Yea I'm getting one but I just wondered if the batteries come charged or notThought you would get it Roybo, fast isn't it from Hong Kong to your doorstep. Now you will be waiting for it to go dark lol. I had mine out for about 4 hours last nigh not fully charged and tourch never dimmed or anything. How many more people waiting for theres? Only way any quarry got out of view of the lamp/tourch was over hills. was yours already charged mate this one must have Been totally flatHas it the light come on roybo? Have you put the batt compartment in the right way, and screwed the head back on tightly. Wasn't fully charged, couldn't say how much it was charged.Redcharge youv'e ordered 2 haven't you mate? Have you had tracking order yet? We where the guinea pigs, thinkm if FD knew there was a holdback with ordering 2 then he could of sent the other to a neighbour, freind or family or member. Yea the red charge light is on the batteries are in the carrier the right way,and the carrier in correct (positive towards the bulb) I'm gettind a little light now (still dim) so it's charging I only have a shaver adapter and they are only 1 amp so it will take a while,I've just put it on a phone charge plug that's 2amp to match the torch charger so hopefully will charge quicker now So you got it charged then roybo. I charge mine earlier with a 2 amp samsung usb plug and was fully charged within 2 hours could of been quicker wasn't paying attention. That's after 4 hours use last night. Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
I tried mine out just over a place that hold a couple of rabbits local (saw 4 lol) there's plenty of light on about level 3 or 4 or so just to scan.I never really needed the top setting although it is powerful on that setting (6) The rabbits weren't spooked anymore than they was with a striker. Was a bit misty so it lit that up a Bit. Over all I am impressed.overspill, not as bad as I expected and I quite like, Only bad bit for me is having a pup with me on this occasion maybe a more focused beam would have been better but who knows .reached plenty for rabbiting distances and more and has been said the overspill is handy to see the dog whilst running. Handy on setting 2 and 3 for gates and fences. Setting 1 ideal for reading pornography,in the woods. did I say the last bit out loud Only thing I'd change for me is to have the stand-by position after the strobe as I did use the strobe setting once as a rabbit was heading for a fence and worked similar to how you'd shake the lamp,so it would be handy to have directly after the top (#6) setting rather than have #6 stand:by then strobe 1 Quote Link to post
