Just got back in. No import tax to start with Beam too tight? No way. if its in the field then a quick sweep will light it up. As good as a striker? Yes....and that's on the next to most powerful

Shiny......

Good stuff stabba, i was hoping it would be what you were expecting! Pound for pound far far better value than the lightforce and battery pack, not to mention the convienience of it being so small and

not yet mate, have sent alot of emails since the money went through, i had a row with them over the price they are putting on the invoice. they reconed they couldn't put down anything other than what each lamp actually cost including shipping, £108 odd quid, but i kicked up and said no way, they had previously agreed to lower the documented price, after telling them to refund the money they eventually agreed to lower the price so if anyone does get caught for duty on them at least the value will be $20 dollars instead of £108 pounds!!!! lol recon we should have tracking numbers early next week, they are issued when they leave china.

I don't understand the duty costs, mate. Does this mean the postman, if it is the postman will knock and want money on arrival?

last time I had to pay duty I had a note through the door saying we have a parcel and duty is owed on it and they gave a price.in my case it was £30 for 3 t- shirts sent as presents from the US.Knowing who they came off they wouldn't have been worth that so I left them there lol

Ha ha. So does this mean if the batteries come seperately you would have to pay twice?

Sorry lads, just on here now after a few days. The batteries are comming in the lamps. They are on route ive been informed this morn, just waiting on tracking numbers now. Customs will literally hold the parcel, put a letter through the door to say what you owe, go online and pay it and you will have the parcel the day after. Thats the way it normally works. But the lastest package i got i was tracing it with the tracking number, it showed on there that customs had inspected it and there was a fee due. I was expecting the letter the day after but the courier came the day after and had a slip from customs and said there was 20 quid owed on it that they had covered, gave him the 20 and that was it.... After i asked its the way some couriers operate apparently!

Jst been out and tried mine for the first time, at first i thought it was going to be a pain in the arse 2 handed operation, but after a bit i got the hang of using it 1 handed, keep it switched on and turn it up on the dial, {it could do with a off on the dial], beam is quite wide, but very long, probably 7 to 8 hundred yards.

It seems a usefull bit of kit, time will tell, came home with a couple of bunnies.

test it on a decent night and see how long it lasts.

I've ordered one of these but without batteries. Do I need to buy button or flat tops?
