krawnden 1,036
Thanks for the review stabba. Based on all I've now heard I'm gonna give it a go. Fox digger - at one point you were talking about possibly organising a group buy. You still prepared to go ahead with that? Quote Link to post

mushroom 12,878
Does it matter lol the batteries are cheap as chips when comparing the entire set up to a top of the range deben set up for eg. Quote Link to post

fox digger 1,086
Good stuff stabba, i was hoping it would be what you were expecting! Pound for pound far far better value than the lightforce and battery pack, not to mention the convienience of it being so small and handy, Nobody knows what your upto!! Elaine from acebeam is gone away to work out the best price she can do for 100 complete kits, i.e lamp, batts, charger the lot, all in its own carry box. If there is enough interest after we get final price and lads pay deposits i can order them. If lads fancy clubbing together and throwing a fiver or similar into a kitty then i can order one and we can do like the THL book club and pass the one lamp about so lads can use it and see what its like for themselves before ordering, lamp arrives, two nights max to give it a quick run, charge it fully and post to next in line the following day..... Only a thought but at least you get to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY 7 Quote Link to post
shealy1 71
Aye it does mate if u need to buy 50 batteries and change it every 10 mins to match the deben lithium then sack that thats why a asked the questions so a could get feedback from someone who has one duhhh lol Quote Link to post

lea 376 24
Ha ha not paying the tax bothers me it's the delay in the delivery Good review looking forward to trying it out Quote Link to post
the big chief 3,099
Just got back in. No import tax to start with Beam too tight? No way. if its in the field then a quick sweep will light it up. As good as a striker? Yes....and that's on the next to most powerful setting. As good as a blitz? Quite possibly but yet to confirm. light too white? imo no it isn't. If youv'e used a cree before then you'll be used to it. If not it may take a little getting used to. Plus quarry's eyes are a different colour also. But with this powerful a light you'll know exactly what species it is you are lighting up. Imo if it bunny's you are after then mid power range would suit you on this torch. I easily lamped as far as a striker on the next to strongest setting and that would be ideal for most situations. The strongest setting would bag you most species should the course go long so to speak imo. Tbh i'm quite impressed by it. So the choice is your's. Buy it or don't but those that don't will be forever wondering when we trying it on those big fields near me show me what i am buying Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Think it was 3.5 hrs on constant full power but put that to the fact the torch isn't on every minute you are out plus you'd be better spotting game on lower power ,plus the fact the batteries will go in your back pocket means a long night on the lamp would be easy within its capabilities, sounds all good to me . Plus 2 good reviews, can't be bed.I'd like to see for myself though Quote Link to post
