The best twine you could use is Engel's best quality you can buy.

I make most of my long nets out of engels 20/9 spun poly. They are made 12 or 13 mesh deep plus salvege always double strand and roughly 4 1/2" mesh.

I MADE A COUPLE OF NETS WITH ENGLES .9 AND 1.1 TWINE, I LIKED THE 1.1 IN BROWN BEST, IT WAS NICER TO KNIT WITH THAN THE GREEN, SOUNDS DAFT BUT THAT IS WHAT I THOUGHT.

That will be the 20/15 spun poly.. i use that for the selvage on my 20/9 nets. i do have a few single strand 20/15 stop nets (41/2" mesh) which are very nice to work with.

Takes a few days. Dont go too mad an order a large amount, i may be getting this in large quantities next year 20/12 in 2 shades of green 20/15 and possibly 20/09. Plus 20/24 in all the bright colours for purse nets

As sprockerjay said if you could spread the word when you have it that would be grand.

 

With most people (myself included) if you need a top up, with all the costs involved it's not financially wise just to order a few spools from Germany. So a so a service like this would really help out.

Im sorting out the finer details in the new year as you say it doesnt make sense buying from germany unless you buy in bulk.
