Alsone 789
Probably the cheapest which is the Hogue stock, personally I think they are the most 'orrible, and worst stock I have ever used...but some people love them! $99 and available in a wide range of colours / styles including thumbhole. Available on the CZ as well. EDIT: Forgot Link - Sorry - http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/FindAStock?Make=2D&Model=231&Action=11 Edited January 10, 2015 by Alsone 1 Quote Link to post

jamie g 17
a;ways had a soft spot for the 22/250. had 222 and 223 but always preferred the 22/250. guess it was more down to the rifle also then the calibre. sold my rpa 22/250 when i got a rifle for all round shooting 25/06 Quote Link to post
hutchey 147
Most new rifles these days are going to be able to shoot better than the shooter, Unless you're looking at a target rifle where millimetres matter then you're safe whatever you buy, The Howa have been gaining in popularity over the last few years, they're cheap, reliable and accurate for field work, One minor criticism is that they can be a tad heavy. I've read great things about the Howa's, made in Japan to a very high standard. Only critisism I've heard is that the stocks need to be upgraded due to excessive 'flex' The newer moulded stocks have been reinforced now! Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
I have a Boyds stock on my Weatherby .243 (same rifle as Howa) and let me tell you this is one of the most accurate cf rifles I have ever owned/used, if you dont like the Hogue stock, by the Vanguard with a nice wood stock, the Jap engineering is excellent, they represent the best value for money rifles in the country, simple as that. Alsone 789
What's the advantage of .223 AI over .22-250? Looks devastating but can't seem much difference between it and .22-250 in velocity (presume energies are simialr but can't turn up much info on AI). Quote Link to post
Gaz6br 193
A lot less powder and much better barrel life and a lot less kick Gaz 1 Quote Link to post

ianm 2,594
Hey Gaz. That last photo looks like Marty Feldman. Where has Marty gone? The mods have obviously removed two pics, shame it has to take mods to think about it. Quote Link to post
