Collie X Greyhound Pup

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I have just joined the forum (been reading for a while now) i have decided to look for another Lurcher and fancy a first cross collie x greyhound or 3/4 bred same cross.

i had lurchers some years back and always had small based lurchers bed/Grey and Whippet crosses etc. but came away from them and had some years training and shooting over cocker spaniels but have always missed a faithful lurcher in the house.

I have scoured the internet and the usual breeder and nothing which is 8-10 weeks or so can be found.

hope im ok to ask this but if anyone knows or has some due or been born etc could let me know to help me out please..??..

Many Thanks

Richard

handcock ..ar least you know your getting a first x

Do you ?
Yes
You sure?

What are you getting at?

Why would the man lie?

He advertise's dogs as being 1/2 bred when the sire as greyhound in him ... His 'naughty boys' stud dogs have more than half collie in them but there pups are still advertised as 3/4 grey 1/4 collie ...

If you feel the need to get a 1/2 cross from hancock the 2 beardy studs hector and wilson or the 2 border collie studs arthur and lance will give you a genuine 1/2 cross if thats the path you want to go down any way good luck Richp just take your time a litter could come up in the future.

Thanks Darbo-

Im not too bothered on a first cross or a 5/8-3/8 or a 3/4 bred it is more it will be living in the house and the overall size would be be better if it was a tad smaller. but that is more trying to be practical.

Hancock breeds plenty of litters so if it's just the fact that the pups he's got at the moment are too old for you, you won't have to wait long before some more come along. Tell him what you're after, and what age you want, and ask him to let you know when he has something. Or else ask him what litters are due and work out when they'll be at the right age for you. He churns out so many that I doubt you'll have to wait more than a few months for the right pup.

I have spoken to him already and he is saying most of his bitch's have seemed to sync with there seasons so seems to be all or nothing at the same time of year....but something will turn up or i can just wait.

Thanks
