Net Making

Wife got me net making kit for Xmas! Bloody harder then it looks! Took me an hour n a half before I got started and learned the knots.just had to hav a break as there's something no right and I think I've made a mistake somewhere!was starting to get pissed off so had to sit down for a beer.lol.out tomorrow and wanting to catch a rabbit in my own hand made net,not sure if it's going to happen.plenty practice needed a hink.

you'll get the hang of it, it'll be 2nd nature to you after a while. my first two nets went in the bin

Chill out meeks take your time and get it right, then go catch your first rabbit in one of your nets

It took me 3/4 nets too get the real hang off it try and do a few while not watching tv it helps

Threw plenty on the fire before I made anything useable...its like riding a bike mate,once it clicks youll be away Don't get hung up on how long it takes to make them either,they last a long time...if it takes twice as long as thought don't worry about it

good luck, it soon comes natural.. just make sure you keep everything tight when you tie your knots

Don't worry lads I'll keep at it!made the mistake when I got on to the second half of the net,when I was reducing the amount of mesh not adding.patience is the key here!

Out of interest i have a kit in the post coming my way, so hopefully when things do click and you get the hang of it how long does it take you guys to complete an average 3'6" net..??..

just take your time and make sure you bed your knots home

it'll be like second nature to you soon enough

just use some cheap string until you get the hang of it, make ordinary nets not shaped until you know what you are doing, keep your good stuff until you have cracked it

Dont even look at a clock mate it will take as long as it takes till you know what your doing one slipped knot the nets fecked

Just take your time you will soon get the hang of it then try making different size and shape nets
