At last I am to get my new camera, Cannon 400D.

What I would like to know is information regarding the lens I already have.

I have a sigma 500mm for the long stuff, this lens I bought three years ago for my Cannon SLR, what I would like to know is will this lens work on my new digital camera.

Cheers

I tried a prime 300mm signa lens on my 20D, and it worked for a couple of activations only, and from there on ERRR appeared on the screen. Not exactly the same as your setup, but I hope you've more success.

Zek.

Hi there, I recently tried my sigma 75-300 lens on a 350D the error message came up. I had been using it on a Canon EOS film slr. I emailed the sigma people giving them all the lens details and what camera I wanted to use it on they got back to me very quickly. Unfortunately the lens would not fit. So I now have it for sale paid a lot of money for it. now having to sell. They said that some lenses if they are fairly new can have a chip put into them to work on Dslr's . basically they ere very helpful.

http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/ hope this is useful.
