I'm looking for a replacement lamp as mine is now knacker ed, within 50 miles of Manchester please.

 

or any thoughts on what lamps are worth owning ???

Ive just been looking at them on ebay the lamp on its own costs around 50 notes is this about average ?

Yeah, that's quite good really then have a look on the deben website and get a 17 amp battery.

I agree the only difference is i use a 18 amp hr battery cost £135 for the lot from arthur carters

Buy an 18 amp sealed rechargeable lead acid battery in any motorbike shop, costs around 60 euro over here. Striker is a great lamp!

I have bought a striker

I also bought two 6 volt 12 amp batteries

 

Which should give me a constant 12 volt feed with around 18-20 amps according to the bloke in the shop that is,

Which should also give me a much longer batterie life.

Have to wait and see but definitely sounds good,what do you think ?.

 

I bought these at maplin to a total cost £26.00 very cheap in my opinion.

Whats with using such high amp batteries? The biggest amp battery iv got is 10 amp and yes it dulls abit towards the end of the night but me and the dogs give up before the battery does.

I think its so that i get a longer batterie life over all,rather than to create a memory

in the dry cell i think this is right but don't quote me on it.

I'm only going of what the bloke in the shop has said I'm no expert.
