BRICKTOP 126
About 23yr ago I was at a pals wedding and the reception had just finished so I decided to nip home and feed the dogs before going straight back on the lash. As I came out the back door and out the gate to our big garden I noticed the kennel door open the dogs had been let out, so I started shouting their names Topper,Roscoe,Thorn . Then heard a voice from a neighbouring garden " Have you lost a dog? " yes I've lost 3 "well 1 is in my sons rabbit hutch " they had 1 of those hutches you move about the lawn to keep the grass down , my worst thoughts were proved right Topper 1 of my terriers had tunnelled under the run killed and ate the rabbit and he was sleeping it off in the hutch . So as I climbed the fence still with my suit on and full as a egg with a belt on , here he is lying up with a belly tight as a drum and the rabbit lying like a glove puppet head and skin intact ,so I pull him out the hutch and throw him on my shoulder whilst stroking him . The neighbour said what about our sons rabbit we haven't told him yet , my response was do you want another I've got a couple in the freezer you can have .That was it he lit up do you think it's a joke I'm going to get the law , please yourself im going back out , later on a few years past and their son thanked me as he hated the rabbit and cleaning it out , but to this day his parents still don't speak to me . I found my other terrier and lurcher down the street 2 girls throwing a ball for them . It was funny at the time tho . 1 Quote Link to post

Dewclaw69 484
never had any hassle at all with lurchers but a little patterdale i had used to cause the neighbour nightmares. his mrs decided to start planting flowers everywhere on their back garden. well this little pat was a right escape artist and day after day found new holes through the hedge and dug em up. he was constantly chasing him back through the hedge. i was apologetic and he was alright with it. dog got out one time too many and ended up under a car. little git managed to pup my lakey cross bitch before he pegged it. cracking litter of pups. Not being funny but your kennel/run must of bin bad for your dog to keep escaping. Poor dog died because of it tut tut Quote Link to post

matt32 44
I've had a couple but the funniest was when my dad was walking my lurcher during the day a a deer got up the dog pulled and my dad let go of the lead and off over the winter wheat field they went the deer was brought down in a high court judges garden the dog finished the job with the judge and his family as spectators fair playto the bloke he called the local hunt kennels to get the deer and was sound as a pound saying these things happen. The neighbour next door phoned police and demanded that my dog be destroyed when her cat got killed in my garden said I should proof my garden to stop cats getting in .so many cats have disappeared round my way it made the papers Quote Link to post
