Hey All..

Well after getting a pup a few months back its been pretty hard to get near anything, if my russell didnt yap when the catty came out, I had normally one hand tied with the lurcher pup on her lead.

Why is it the perfect shot always presents itself when we`re unable to take it? Yet some days you can walk all day, half drawn and see nothing :censored:

Any way me and my pal were out walking the dogs, heading for home, the two terriers were bushing away when a grey silhouette caught my eye - A Woody about 25ft away and 13ft up a leafless sycamore tree. Trying to relay in some sort of anti-spook code with my eyes, speaking out the corner of my mouth what I`d seen to my pal, I passed the dog lead to him and managed to get my catty out, all the time, the Woody looked nervous, its head bobbing. Taking a handful of steps backwards, I managed to get a clear line of sight. I drew back my little home made job and whack! The pigeon was dead before it began falling, however my happiness was short lived as it fell the other side of a 8ft boundary wall. I pulled myself up for a look and sure enough it was dead at the base of the wall.. Well as far as I was concerned, that was my prize on the floor and I wasnt letting it go to waste. So, quick as a fox with size 11 steel toe-cap wellies on, I was over the wall, pigeon in pocket and away.

Funny what puts a smile on your face..
