gvc 491
Yeah to keep the line going. The bitch in the picture is Jill she was given back to me so I could put my old dog to her. Pay is the wheaton bitch. Paddy is the first cross Wheaton/greyhound. I've just recently discovered the picture of the dog (thanks to spindle to) he was owned by Darryl Thomas and has his picture was in the book Digging the Dirt 3. 3 Quote Link to post
gvc 491
These are two of the pups from this litter 3/4 wheaton '1/4 greyhound. The larger of the two is Finn the dog and the other is Red the bitch. The bitch in the picture (Jill) with my son is out of Red and will be going to Finn next year. 9 Quote Link to post

gvc 491
I might have missed it, just wondered the height are Jill and Finn? Smart looking dogs and nice to see they've a good temperament. Joe All from the line have excellent temperament with people and animals. Finn is at least 24" and Jill will be all of 23" I will stick a tape on them to see. Although she isn't the biggest she has excellent pace and stamina. Which must come from her sire. Greygamefowl 160
Do you lamp or mooch with them more? they look a good type for a bit of everything Quote Link to post

jukel123 8,140
I do believe so cleanspades, murph never gave me any bother really, good to see ozzy is still putting the hours in! Matt he isnt doing a lot now matt. just comes out mooching with the terriers now and then.. he makes it hard to leave him in. lol. bosun is right your dog looks like he is a 26 nch deerhound cross in that pic. Ozzy has an inch on him and looks smaller. . be a sad day in this house when he goes he isnt as bulky as he looks and is still pretty lively a few pics from over the years ozzy puppy 1.jpg ozzy2.jpg Old ferreting.jpg ozzy.jpg i would recommend this cross for a hardy pesters dog. Why have you never used your wheaten cross for stud Cleanspade? I seem to remember someone was interested and you weren't keen, I'm just nosy. Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,322
he rarely see's other dogs or folk just our own . he wasnt very well socialised as a pup. but he is 100% sound with his own clan 2 Quote Link to post
Greygamefowl 160
nice pic mate, I do like dogs to be a bit wary of strangers Quote Link to post
gvc 491
Do you lamp or mooch with them more? they look a good type for a bit of everythingIve done a bit of all sorts with Finn in his younger days but he was a yard short of pace for the fast stuff, but if another dog could force a turn he was always close enough to steam role over the quarry. A broken knee robbed him of even more speed but he is fast enough for mooching, lamping and hunting up. He is and always has been at his best out with the terriers. The bitch on the other hand is more than fast enough for anything day or night and is incredibly tight behind her quarry. I have only just started her on the lamp and she is picking it up really well. Next task is to introduce her to the ferreting game. 3 Quote Link to post

Greygamefowl 160
Had a walk out today, ended up crossing some stubbles Lily had a long run that to be honest didn't have much chance of getting to grips with, but she never jibbed or showed any signs of jacking she always manages to put in 100% but im going to have to get or breed a youngster in the spring 2 Quote Link to post
