Brigzy 1,298
I'd say the '92 final between Taylor and Gregory was the best ever, it's generally recognised as the best game ever at The Lakeside, and was thought by many to be the catalyst for the break up. Croft marketed the video of it and used small print in the players contracts to refuse to pay them royalties.

bracken boy 584
theres been loads to be fair but yesterdays game was a good one and is up there, good call on the 92 final brigzy but its all down to personal views,
Brigzy 1,298
I chose the '92 final, not so much for the darts, even though they were great, but for the excitement; final leg of the final set ! Bristow v Deller was also a classic. I've seen some better non-televised games as far as scoring is concerned, and some of the best darts I've seen have been backstage in the practice room, but the big televised games, especially now that the crowds are encouraged to be boisterous, instead of "the best of order" take some beating for excitement. bracken boy 584
so true, the best games was at night before tournements start where money also changed hands, losing £100 pound in barry islands to a complete stranger made me sick but at least next day he did very well in the pro tournement losing in.the semi made me feel better but robbed hahaha
Brigzy 1,298
Watching the final right now, third set just finished. Adams scoring is almost up to PDC standards, but his doubles are atrocious ! But he's 2-1 up.
bracken boy 584
finals can be drab, im waiting for the fireworks lol
Brigzy 1,298
It's not exactly getting me excited !lol! I thought Adams doubles might improve but he can't buy a double top ! 26% on doubles isn't champion form.

Brigzy 1,298
Not the greatest darts, but I enjoyed watching it. Congratulations to Scotty.
Brigzy 1,298
Good competitive Final FairPlay Mitchell And in truth at least the BDO trophy tops the PDC one The PDC £250,000 tops the BDO £100,000 though.......
bracken boy 584
well done scotty, just wanted it a bit more in the end...
DogFox123 1,379
Money's not Everything Brigzy. It is when the other option is a slightly better trophy and a lesser achievement. Edited January 11, 2015 by DogFox123
Brigzy 1,298
Money's not Everything Brigzy. I've got a cupboard full of darts trophies, you can have them if you want.... They don't pay the mortgage; prize money does.
