Rez 4,961
If I remember they're very varmint synth focused from looks, unsure myself of the internals... Get it apart man, see what you can improve. There is probably loads Quote Link to post
ratbuster 808
Kral AV Turkish shotgun manufacturer, who also does the lower end of the airgun market. Cheap and Cheerful, but lots to improve on them, if you are a bit handy and have some elbow grease to spend. Similar to Hatsan style air rifles. http://www.kralav.com/e-katalog/index.html look at page 46 -47 and further Edited December 23, 2014 by ratbuster Quote Link to post
buddyblue 5
Makes a dry sort of twang when fired Quote Link to post
buddyblue 5
Was it a bad choice for a first rifle? Made 145 came with sleeve and fitting with scope but no make on scope atbh doesn't seem a good fit scope fittings seem poor quality Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
It's a first rifle that gave you a start of sorts, that's got you out shooting buddyblue, so, it's not all gloom. But, from what the lads here are saying is, this Kral rifle needs a degree of work fettling fettling and polishing and general bashing about internally to get some sort of performance out of it. For a brand new rifle to feel like it needs sending back for servicing after a few shots in only a month is not on, regardless of what it cost. It'll either put you off air rifle shooting for life or infuriate you to go look for a better gun. I'd hand it back to the shop as unfit for purpose, get a refund and put the money on a Weihrauch .22 spring rifle. An HW77. HW97. HW95. HW80. HW90 Gasram. HW98 or HW99S are all worth a look and none of them cost that much more than a cheap rifle that will do you no favours at all. They will all shoot superbly well, inspire your confidence and meet your shooting growth and development without needing to be traded in. My own HW80, my oldest gun, is 17 years old and shoots as superbly well as the day it was bought brand new. Buy some decent mounts like Sportsmatch 2-piece or Hawke mounts for your scope and mount your scope properly. A good, accurate pellet is easier to source for Weihrauch rifles than other guns of dubious quality. Good kit and money wisely spent will do a lot more for your shooting, and your enjoyment of shooting, than any number of cheaper gear will! ATB.
