budharley 945
Morning lads I'm having trouble yet again with a fox on my 10 acre small holding . I have shooting permission on another 100 acres or so that surround it I would like to apply for my fac for fox is it possible to be granted one on that small amount of land . I know absolutely nothing bout rifles having shot shotguns all my life , where can I learn all about them ? I want to get a rifle purely to use as and when needed to control foxes that decide to use my livestock as food . What's the best way of going about it . There's no earths on the land the foxes travel onto it .thanks in advance bud Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
10 acres is a bit small for a fox calibre I reckon, but it all depends on the layout, backstops and so on. You should be able to get one based on the 100 acres, but you wouldn't be able to use it on your land until your ticket is open. Until then, surely there must be a member on here who can sort it out for you. Or borrow a cage trap off someone. Or load your shotty with a decent size load and wait for it. Quote Link to post
toby63 1,236
can you not use the shottie and bait and wait? Quote Link to post

stillair1 16
if it's an on going problem I would look at an elevated fox box and .22cf. Phone up your feo and get him to come over for a chat. Quote Link to post
