But you can believe they'd be as game as a good Bull x? Can't comment on that part as I've not witnessd any bull lurcher work.. I have a saluki lurcher and a deerhound lurcher. Both got great feet but I think the saluki lurcher has slightly stronger tighter feet. But the stamina is worlds apart... My ol deerhound lurcher has some bedlington blood in him so is game enough to get me in trouble! Lol Quote Link to post
jossa 966
I have a deerhound greyhound and 2 bull x's. The deerhound x is just as game as any bull, its only his biting power that seperates them. Quote Link to post

jossa 966
Both single handed. I said "he's just as GAME" He gets the job done just not as fast as the bull x. What do you think was used before bull x came on the seen. Mainly deerhound x etc 1 Quote Link to post

How are they a mythical creature? A good one will be a hell of a lot gamer than any Deerhound, that does matter when the going gets tough. 2 Quote Link to post
northwestmitch 9
when you talk about game and stamina, good feet... Where Deerhounds not originally bred to course deer from start to finish, either kill or bring it to bay until the hunters arrived, running ruff terrain up and down glens in adverse weather conditions north of the border ? Not talking about todays over sized show stock but when the breed standard was first drawn up, dogs 28-30 inch bitches 26 inch at the shoulder, On their own turf, taking into consideration terrain conditions ect would the Deerhound come out on top? against the more popular breeds being run today.
