What A Difference A Perm Makes

Recommended Posts

Set off today to have a look round a new golf course perm I have with a mate. After a feckin long walk and lots of hill climbing and rustling through gauze walked away with one in the bag. All the signs were there but they just weren't bolting. Feeling a little dejected after 7 hours of hard work we popped into one of his little sites. We split up and netted a couple of sets, 3 mins in and one of my nets pursed and the bugs rolled into a neighbouring hole. Quickly got hold to sort it out with both knees down uncovered holes and boom another flew out 20 ft from me. Necked the rabbit and blocked the hole with it roughly covered the second whilst flying through the air like superman the later years and dispatched the quarry and went on to reset the nets. Mate had 3 while this was going on. Moved to the hedgerow and long netted around. Mate had 2 digs for 2 bugs and I dived through the thorns as my kit tried to drag her next victim back down the hole. A quick dispatch only to see her drag another out the hole which she released as I approached and he popped down a nearby hole. Within mins she was on another this time snatching it as it left the set a quick tussle and a mouth full of fur later and another made its bid for freedom. Many more bolted and popped back in and if we had been able to purse it the bag would have been a lot bigger. So 7 hours for one and an hour and a bit for another 8. Was unbelievable impressed with my little kit, don't know if something clicked in her or if there were far more rabbits than on my other perms but the girl did good.
