paulf 820
I ve read that discus etc can be quite fragile maybe looking at getting some sort of shark if possible ? with discus its more about keeping the water than the fish ... gnasher off here has/had some i remember him putting some pics up .. as for sharks only the small types would do for a tropical setup as in red fined blacks but they are very territorial .. Greengrass 202
how many litre would 3/4 foot tanks be mate, do you know which breed of shark would be suitable to keep in that size of tank
paulf 820
depends on the height width ect but my 200 ltr is a meter long by 18 inches high by 18 inches wide . as for sharks silver sharks are nice fish red fined black sharks as well ..but you will be limited to what else you can keep with them .. if you go to tropical fish forums uk ..its the best out there for advice . morton 5,368
how many litre would 3/4 foot tanks be mate, do you know which breed of shark would be suitable to keep in that size of tankI realise our Celtic cousins are not as sharp as their English counterparts, yet,if you fill the tank slightly below capacity it will not overflow.Discus are not for the novice until they learn how to control the pH levels.Don,t put an hammerhead in a narrow tank, they struggle to turn around. gnasher16 30,320
Why dont you have a stroll round a few aquatic centres and see what types of fish take your fancy, then see the conditions they require and whether thats going to fit in with your budget/time/interest levels.......aquariums come in all sorts of shapes and sizes these days it depends whether you just want to keep a glass box with fish in or get into the whole natural environment/ornamental decor thing.
