Rifleman88 28
Hiya Guys, Been off here a while as I've been abroad with the core, I need to renew the old FAC and I'm wondering if i still need to give two referees a form to fill out and send off separately. On the forms I've printed off it only asks for their details but there's no forms to actually give them. Also how can i go about getting an open licence as I'm sick of phoning up my firearms officer to get each new bit of permission checked off, Cheers Lads. also bagged a charlie lastnight Quote Link to post

nasher1 258
I don't know about the referees part on the new forms as they have changed it since I did it but just contact your feo regarding the open ticket or ask for it on your renewal not many people wait the first five years these days before they get theirs opened atb Roy Quote Link to post
Rifleman88 28
Yeah, i'll give him a bell and find out, just seems like a pain going through the whole process again for a renewal, thanks Hunter Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
With the new forms, there's no referee forms, just need to fill in their full details. On renewal, your FAC should automatically become open. Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
I've not long renewed mine, you have to jump through all the hoops again, including a new photo. Referees just fill in a section of the form. You are also asked for confirmation of at least one area of land where you have permission to shoot - but you are not restricted to that one area. I believe it is policy for you to have a visit on renewal, ask then for an "open" condition. Quote Link to post
Rifleman88 28
Happy days, saves me a bit of effort, sooner i get it done sooner i can start the ball rolling on the DSC1, Thanks again Lads, happy hunting. 1 Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
With the new forms, there's no referee forms, just need to fill in their full details. On renewal, your FAC should automatically become open. As SS above, if it is the normal 5 year renewal it will almost always be Opened automatically, but worth asking for it to be opened anyway. Some regions are favouring the term Unrestricted now over Open, seems like playing with words simply for the sake of it to me! Quote Link to post
