Katsdad 31
Has anyone near faversham in Kent Lost a hawk?not sure on breed as not my thing but it's defo well handled as taking the dogs for a walk this morning it saw us and swooped down but wheeled back when it got close almost as if it recognised I wasn't its owner but it followed us home and has been sat in the tree out side the house since.if I try to get near enough to take a photo it just ups and leaves but returns after a while. It must be used to hunting with dogs because it tracked my 2 when they were looking for rabbits in the hedgerows. So it must be owned by someone who has put a lot of time and effort into getting it trained. Spread the word and hopefully we can find its owner. I know what it's like to loose a hunting buddy when my ferrets got out, alot of effort goes into them and trust from both sides. Hope I can help Cheers Tim Quote Link to post

bullx100% 681
If you have a dead bunny tie it to a length of line see if it will come down to lure. If it's followed you and your dogs back home I'd say Harris possibly..if it will come down to the lure then have a look on its leg if it has a ring on then you will be able find the owner but you will have to catch it up....atb Quote Link to post
Katsdad 31
Don't think its a Harris having looked it up,it white with black plumage and big the size of a buzzard easy if not bigger? Quote Link to post
Longers7 720
Does it look like this mate? If so then it's a Gos Quote Link to post

youcanthide...BANG 1,051
Probably a Harris in juvenile plumage. I would get a dead rabbit and drag it to see if it will come down. Then at least you can check the rings if its rung up Quote Link to post

Do you know any local falconers who could help to come and catch it? It would prob come down to a lure. Quote Link to post
