northern lad 2,292 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 One of our permissions has a sandbank around 500 yds long ,varying in height from 4 to 15 ft,which backs directly onto a canal towpath...digging down up to 6 ft through a towpath is near impossible ,so we end up trenching in from the field side ,between 3 and 8 ft in sand ,had a few near misses on there.Trouble is it allways holds a few ,so when the bags on the light side its draw gets stronger......every time we do it we vow never to go near it again Quote Link to post
