walshie 2,804
We've got our local elections here today. The lib dems have been hounding us as a family for the last week by post with individual letters, leaflets, phone calls (where we have told them what we think of them) knocks at the door (where we can tell them and do the relevant wanker signs ) but tonight has really taken the biscuit. We just had a woman knock at the door, saying she was from the lib dems then saying I hadn't been to vote yet and was I going to? How the hell do they know that sort of information? AAAARGH! Just had a phone call while typing this from...yes the lib dems! I wonder what part of "Hell no, we're UKIP voters here" they don't understand?
Truther 1,579
She knows you haven't voted? Something not right about that?

Brigzy 1,298
They are in panic mode; latest polling puts them on 6%, same as the Greens. It destroyed my faith in British democracy when a party that came a distant third in the General Election became part of the Government, with positions like Deputy Prime Minister, Business Secretary and Chief Secratary to the Treasury. For gods sake, the even came behind "The Bus Pass Elvis Party in a recent by election !
walshie 2,804
I shall be writing to their candidate asking if the thinks borderline harrassment is the way to get votes and asking where they got information like if i had voted or not. As Truther said, theres something not right about that
Brigzy 1,298
It's why you should ALLWAYS vote, or at least spoil your ballot paper. Your polling station will have the electoral list, and the names are ticked off as people vote. A corrupt polling official only has to wait until near the end of polling and see who hasn't voted, then fill in all the unused votes for the party of their choice ! We laugh at the third world voting practices, but with widespread postal voting fraud and abuse of electoral lists, we aren't so squeaky clean ourselves !
walshie 2,804
I'm going to vote. I always do. I'm just wondering how the Lib Dems knew this afternoon who had voted and who hadn't
Brigzy 1,298
They looked at, or had information about, the electoral list in your ward. That is illegal, and maybe you should ask the Electoral Commission, or your local newspaper how the LibDems knew your voting status.

Just going to vote now and kick up a stink!
