Gaz_1989 9,539
As I said in my earlier post my mate had them . They was very good guard dogs they seem to be a one man dog . Plus there very strong headed . I would look into the breed first . The guy is a 60+ year old farmer who's decided he wants an ACD - after decades of working other dogs. What makes you think he hasn't looked into the breed? 1 Quote Link to post
Moorside 642
I knew when I posted this that people would warn about how much of a handful they are. Hes not the type who gets dogs on a whim he just doesn't know anyone who currently keeps em so I said id ask on here for him because hes not into using the web. Quote Link to post

bradus 311
Put an ad in the farmers guardian or farmers weekly 1 Quote Link to post
Neal 1,873
I think ads in the Farmers' Guardian are expensive so he might be better off keeping an eye out for ads in the paper itself...that's how I found my first kelpie. I also remember seeing an ad for a working heeler at stud but can't remember where...if I remember I'll put it up. 1 Quote Link to post
Neal 1,873
Can't edit my previous post as I'm on my wife's tablet. Just tried to search for the stud I mentioned above and red heeler pup has just been added to pets4homes for rehoming. Five and a bit months old and £500. 1 Quote Link to post
