The thing is this was some tosser with an air rifle not a shot gun or the fecking idiot would be locked up and i would be a few family members down and it would be all over the news.

 

A child can own a shot gun (i cant remember the age but some one will be along soon to say) but you never hear of them running around the woods with one its all ways air rifles and it makes for bad publicity and fuel for the antys .

 

Its all bad news for our sport

 

And shot gun incidents are far and few between thank god .

 

so i think we should leave the shot gun lads alone they have got to go though enough to get there license and at the end of the day it was 1 pellet and not hundreds of lead shot

You do get a background check for shotgun licence!!! and still people with a clean criminal record pass and get a shot gun and shoot people , If people with clean criminal records were prevented from owning a shot gun along with all the other reasons then it would be safer

 

Do you mean no one should have a shotgun licence?

If you have an imaginary population of 300 people 100 mentally ill ,100 criminals and 100 neither ill or criminals all with shotguns .At the end of each year there are 3 murders 1 by a mental 1 by a criminal and 1 by a person neither ill nor criminal .Oh my god these crimes must stop gun control is needed ,so mentally ill and criminals can no longer have guns ..now thank god there is just 1 gun murder a year, gun control works .the 1 murder a year is committed by the right sort of person .So to prevent the 1 murder a year the right sort of person needs to be prevented from having access to a shot gun also .why should innocent people have to run the risk of meeting this right sort of person armed with a shot gun on a bad day .

Yea as long as everyone ok was just standing up for shotguns there a tool I couldn't do without and as been said incidents with shottys are few n far between the system to be approved for one seems to working but any tom dicks or harry can walk in to a gun shop and buy a airgun hense the reason it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they licence them as I got a legitimate use for them and would gladly just apply for a license as I do with my shotguns

And will cut down on the kranks wandering round woodland with there tracksuit bottoms tucked in to there socks finding f all to shoot so pass time by shooting passers by or cars.

But i don't think an air gun license will stop it as there are to many air guns out there now they will just go under ground and yes the law can take them off who ever they see if they have not got a license but they will not get them all

 

How the hell are they going to police it there pushed to there limits now with other things that are going on

Yea I agree it's guna be hard to police but I'm not a copper so won't make my job any harder lol will just stop literally anyone buying a gun that's all I ment by it and would not bother me as I'd just get a license

 

But then again there will still be alot of guns out there so suppose won't change much for a while but here goes that old saying guns don't kill people people do
