pianoman 3,587
A poor workman blames his tools...but he can't work with a blunt knife! There's sound advices from the lads here but, in all honesty, a cheap air rifle like a well-used SMK will have all sorts of issues like fit of parts, stock-to-action, trigger and barrel that will spoil your accuracy, even with a decent scope and a proper pellet for it. They wear out and don't last the distance over time and you cannot expect a cheapo airgun to perform like a quality Weihrauch or Air Arms etc. There are a number of good reasons why these rifles cost a lot more. Top quality is reliable, precision accuracy that lasts your lifetime. Try a more reliable scope and quality pellets. Not cheap junk. You probably will likely spend £30.00 or more trying to find one brand that tightens up your groups better than others. If after all this, you still aren't happy with how it shoots, personally, I'd cut my losses, sell it and look out for a second hand Weihrauch HW80, HW97 or HW77 .22. and a good scope. Plenty about and reasonable prices too. Simon Quote Link to post
